What’s Wrong

You had one of those days
When I can get nothing right
So it's ‘good-bye’ for today
But your words, they still burn in my mind:

‘You don't love the way you should
Still you say that you could
Pretend that you could.’

We never followed that trail of thought
All the way to its end
Or else we'd've seen that we're always caught
By the moods which spell: ‘The End’

We don't love the way we should
Still we say that we could
Pretend that we could

I carried most of your load
On shoulders you once used to call broad
Now you see how much you were wrong
I never was, never was that strong

I don't love the way I should
Still I think that you could
Fall for my lies
Fall for my lies
Believe in me tonight
